Day and night
Firstly The sun doesn't go anywhere it stays still in the centre of our solar system.
In fact If one side is day the other side is dark because the sun is not shining on that side. Earth rotates around the sun and spins on its axis on a 45* angle.The sun is a fireball
That heats up the earth.
